POSITION INFO:
Job Summary The Financial Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization by managing financial planning, reporting, budgeting, compliance, and risk management. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, adherence to South African financial regulations and tax legislation, and provides strategic financial insights to support business growth. Key Responsibilities • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. • Monthly reporting on Predict and HFM. • Meet key deadlines (Flash, Actuals and Monthly Forecast) • Preparation of Management plan and Strategic plans. • Review weekly and monthly payments. • Inventory and obsolete inventory management. • Quarterly Balance sheet reconciliations. • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. • Monitor cash flow and working capital to ensure business sustainability. • Oversee the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS where applicable). • Ensure compliance with South African tax legislation, including VAT, PAYE, and Corporate Income Tax. • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities. • Implement and maintain effective internal financial controls and risk management processes. • Analyse financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency. • Support strategic decision-making through financial modelling and business analysis. • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant South African legislation. • Support logistics, marketing and commercial teams. • Other ad-hoc tasks. Minimum Requirements • Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Professional qualification such as CA(SA), CIMA. • 5-8 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 2-3 years in a management role. • Strong knowledge of IFRS, South African tax legislation, and financial reporting standards. • Experience with ERP\/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, other inhouse systems) • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
