Financial Manager (Mining Industry)

SUMMARY:
We are recruiting a Financial Manager (Mining) for our Client in Fochville to alead the finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, operational efficiency, and compliance across the business within a mining or manufacturing environment.

POSITION INFO:

Financial Manager (Mining)

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal controls.

• Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team.

• Analyse financial data and provide insights for business decisions.

• Manage accounting systems and processes using Microsoft 365.

• Travel locally as required and work overtime when necessary.

Qualifications & Experience:

• B-Com in Accounting and Chartered Accountant (CA) designation.

• Minimum 7 years operational finance experience after internship in mining/manufacturing.

• 5 years in small OR medium company finance roles.

• 3 years in large OR JSE-listed company finance roles.

• 5 years experience as a Financial Manager.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Experience working in large groups of companies.

• Proficient in Microsoft 365.

Other Requirements:

• Subject to police clearance and credit check.
