Financial Manager (Remote)

SUMMARY:
Are you a seasoned finance leader with the ability to build and shape a new team? We’re looking for an R2R Manager to oversee full finance operations for a new international division setting up in South Africa.

POSITION INFO:

This is a unique opportunity to establish and manage a local finance team while collaborating with colleagues in the US. You’ll take ownership of the end-to-end finance function, including transactional oversight, reporting, and process implementation.
The role requires flexibility, resilience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-changing, project-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Full finance function management (transactional through to reporting)
Liaising with international stakeholders and aligning SA operations with global processes
Building, leading, and mentoring a new local finance team
Driving compliance, controls, and best practices in a start-up team environment
Managing project-based finance needs, reporting, and reconciliations

Job Experience and Skills Required:
A strong communicator who can hold your own with international stakeholders
Flexible and adaptable, comfortable with shifting priorities and “rolling with the punches”
A mature, approachable leader who can motivate and manage with warmth, but also set boundaries when needed
Someone who thrives in ever-changing environments and knows how to make things happen
Relevant finance qualification + articles or qualification with extensive experience
7+ years post-articles experience or 10+ years with a degree
Strong exposure to project-based environments
Ability to work initially on a 10:00–19:00 schedule to allow overlap with US hours (normal SA time thereafter)
