A well-established and respected organisation within the South African insurance and financial services sector is looking for a Financial Manager to join their Finance Division.

Reporting directly to senior management, this role offers the opportunity to play a key part in managing the finance portfolio of a significant insurance entity within the group.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys the technical side of finance, from IFRS reporting and annual financial statements to audit management and executive-level reporting

POSITION INFO:

ð¼ What You’ll Be Responsible For

Preparing monthly management reports and delivering detailed financial analysis
Presenting financial results and insights to senior and executive stakeholders
Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes
Processing and/or reviewing monthly trial balances
Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
Reviewing daily payments and analysing supporting financial schedules
Participating in technical finance projects, including IFRS 17 implementation initiatives
Preparing entity tax calculations
Compiling sections of annual financial statements related to investments (IFRS 17)
Taking ownership of the annual audit process, including liaising with external auditors

â Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

Qualified CA(SA)
4–5 years’ post-articles experience
Strong post-audit technical experience
Solid IFRS knowledge, including exposure to IFRS 17
Experience preparing Annual Financial Statements
Proven experience managing the audit process
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Experience working with SAGE
