SUMMARY:
Responsible for the financial management, and historic accounting performance, of a portfolio of properties and entities, encompassing the full financial function in the area of responsibility (GL maintenance, Cash Flow, forecasting and Taxation), in collaboration with asset management and the finance team. The incumbent will be expected to identify risks and implement actions to mitigate these,

POSITION INFO:

Duties:

Reviews underlying details of accruals to ensure they are complete and accurate and are raised/ reversed as appropriate.
Monitors and authorises journals raised in Broll pertaining to the portfolio of properties and entities in the area of responsibility.
Prepares lessor rental schedule.
Reviews the calculation, and recognition of property management fees, and asset management fees.
Manages full debtors and creditors function, inclusive of purchase order and supplier payment process management.
Prepares portfolio and entity level financial information and schedules for reporting, ensuring all financial data is accurate and complete, and reconciled to general and sub ledgers, and asset management reporting, as necessary. Guides the property management team on all financial related issues.
Collects information from various sources as input into the General Ledger.
Ensures supplier and payment allocations are accurate and complete.
Manages the financial reconciliation process between operating and financial system (Broll and Microsoft Dynamics 365), inclusive of the upload of monthly Broll property financial information into Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Processes journal entries in Microsoft Dynamics 365 to give effect to Broll data, and inter alia property portfolio information, Joint Venture trial balances, and Property Owners Associations TB’s.

Requirements:

BCom Honours degree or equivalent
3-4 years’ experience in a similar role
Experience in the property industry is essential; experience on Broll Online is advantageous
