SUMMARY:
The Centre Financial Manager is responsible for the operational management of a regional shopping centre as well as the accounting function thereof. This involves the full financial function for this building. The incumbent will be required to be flexible in order to switch from one specialised task to another. A critical success factor of the role will be the analytical ability to identify problem areas and ensure quick and effective problem solving for others in area of expertise. In addition to this, the incumbent will be expected to identify risks and implement actions to mitigate these. The incumbent will be required to work on a rotation basis on Saturdays to ensure the mall is represented at centre management.

POSITION INFO:
Duties:
Operational Financial Processing

Manages the financial reconciliation process between ledger and sub ledger.
Explains reconciled items and variances.
Performs Bank Reconciliations – Cashbook vs statements.
Ensures that accruals are raised and reversed. (Complete and accurate utility revenue and tenant statements).
Processes and reconciles journals to working papers (Including three monthly depreciation, straight line, tenant deposits, petty cash, marketing, letting commission, tenant installation and parking journals, net rent calculations).
Calculates property management fee.
Review PPS and related draw request.
Manages reconciliation process between uploaded PPS and General ledger (Explains reconciled items and variances).
Authorise and review letting commission calculation for invoicing.
Authorise and review turnover rent calculations & letters.

General Ledger

Collects information from various sources as input into the General Ledger.
Ensuring supplier and payment allocations are accurate and complete.

Debtors / Receipting Cycle / Leasing
Budget and Forecasting
Cash Flow Management and Payments
Reporting

Requirements:

Accounting degree is a must,
Retail property experience a must
Broll system experience
At least three years experience in a similar role
