Financial Manager position in the Centurion area

Qualified and experienced Financial Manager required in the Centurion area for an International company to oversee the end-to-end financial operations and budgeting process, analysis and reports on the financial health of the companies and group, and advises on strategies to maximise shareholder value and funding requirements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

● Grade 12

● Degree in Accounting, Auditing or Financial Management;

● Post graduate degree an advantage;

● Member of an accounting body an advantage;

● 10+ years experience in financial management;

● Experience in group consolidations, foreign exchange and manufacturing a must;

● Experience on Zoho & Pastel an advantage;

● High level of technical accounting knowledge;

● Business and results oriented;

● Strong level of professional maturity;

● Excellent communication skills, written and verbal;

● Excellent computer literacy;

● Well organised, self starter, self motivated, able to prioritise

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

● Creating budgets to support the company’s short- and long-term strategic plans;

● Creating long term forecasts to guide executive decision-making and facilitate fund raising;

● Reporting actual performance against budgets and proposing remedial actions where necessary;

● Proactively driving the financial performance of the group;

● Maintaining awareness of changes in the financial industry, regulations, best practices and technologies, etc;

● Assessing risks to the company and ensuring they are monitored and mitigated;

● Manage all insurance policies for the group;

● Ensuring good Corporate governance in line with best practices;

● Act as a financial partner to department heads and subsidiaries;

● Manage any M&A activities, including due diligence;

● Contract negotiations;

● Monthly reporting on Management accs and financial analysis as needed, including consolidation across entities using different currencies;

● Facilitate financial audits to completion and adoption of Audit Financial Statements;

● Preparing financial reports for the Board of Directors and Shareholders;

● Manage financial controls and accounting procedures for accurate and up to date accounts;

● Monitoring and reporting on profitability of product lines;

● Asset management, including fixed assets and current assets;

● Cash flow forecasting, management and treasury functions;

● Payroll administration;

● Ensuring regulatory and statutory compliance;

● Monitoring and mitigating credit risk; foreign exchange risk and liquidity risk;

● Manage, recruiting, inducting, developing and evaluating accounting and administrative staff;

● Review and implement changes in accounting systems and software to meet the company needs;

● Instill a company wide culture of frugality and financial discipline;

● Continuous improvement of processes and procedures;
