SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced CA(SA) to take on a Principal Accountant / Financial Manager role within a complex, reporting-driven environment. This position is ideal for a senior finance professional with a strong public sector background who is comfortable operating at a strategic and operational level.
POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:
- CA(SA) qualification (essential)
- 8–10+ years post-qualification experience
- Strong public sector exposure (preferred, but open)
- Proven experience in financial and statutory reporting
- Willingness to travel nationally as required
Key Responsibilities:- Overseeing and managing financial reporting in line with public sector frameworks
- Ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, governance, and reporting standards
- Managing budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls
- Providing financial leadership and guidance to senior stakeholders
- Supporting audits and interacting with regulatory bodies
- Managing and reviewing the work of finance team members
