This role goes beyond numbers, offering hands-on involvement by working closely with cost accountants, visiting warehouses, and optimizing operations. Duties:
- Oversee daily financial operations, including cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Drive cost control and operational efficiency to maximize profitability.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Analyse financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
- Lead and mentor a team of cost accountants, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes.
- Maintain strong relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial stakeholders.
Job Experience & Skills Required: Qualifications: - Matric (Grade 12)
- BCom Accounting Finance
- BCom Honours / CTA
- CA(SA) or Completed CIMA Qualification is a MUST!!
Experience: - Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles
- 5+ years’ experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in operational finance.
Skills & Competencies: - Strong understanding of financial reporting standards & regulatory requirements.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
- Hands-on approach -someone who enjoys getting involved in operations and optimizing processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
