SUMMARY:
A leading distribution and retail organisation, based in Kempton Park, is seeking a highly analytical and commercially focused Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Specialist (CA(SA)) to support strategic decisionâmaking through dataâdriven insights, advanced financial modelling, and pricing analysis.

POSITION INFO:

This role is suited to a technically strong CA(SA) who thrives in a large, complex data environment and enjoys translating numbers into actionable commercial strategy.

ð Key Responsibilities:

Analyse and interpret large, complex data sets to provide actionable financial and commercial insights
Develop, maintain, and enhance advanced financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, and longâterm strategy
Own pricing analysis and profitability modelling, including margin optimisation across products, channels, and customers
Analyse sales performance, volume trends, rebates, promotions, and pricing structures
Prepare detailed margin, costâtoâserve, and profitability analysis
Deliver variance analysis and explain performance drivers across revenue, costs, and operating expenses
Build and maintain management dashboards, KPIs, and consolidated reporting packs
Partner closely with sales, operations, supply chain, and executive teams to influence commercial decisions
Provide decision support on new initiatives, pricing changes, and strategic investments
Support working capital, inventory optimisation, and cash flow forecasting
Drive continuous process improvement, automation, and data integrity within FP&A reporting

ð Minimum Requirements:

Qualified CA(SA) (completed articles required)
Minimum 5 years’ postâarticles experience in an FP&A, commercial finance, distribution, or retail role
Proven experience working with large data sets and complex financial models
Strong knowledge of pricing, margin analysis, and revenue-driven finance
Advanced Excel skills (financial modelling, pivot tables, and Power Query advantageous)
ERP systems experience (SAP / Oracle / Syspro advantageous)
Strong analytical, problemâsolving, and data interpretation skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage tight reporting timelines
