Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, management accounts, variance analyses, cash flow reports and departmental performance reports. Support budgeting and forecasting processes through financial modelling, data analysis and reporting to senior leadership. Manage day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, journal entries, payment batches and month-end close. Analyse financial performance, trends, KPIs, operational expenses and working capital to support business decision-making and cost optimisation. Ensure compliance with GAAP\/IFRS, tax legislation, internal controls and regulatory reporting requirements. Identify and implement improvements to financial reporting processes, month-end procedures and internal controls. Present financial information to non-financial stakeholders and collaborate across departments to provide financial guidance. Support internal and external audits through the preparation of documentation and resolution of audit queries. Assist with the preparation of South African and USA tax returns. Provide guidance and support to junior finance team members where required. Job Experience and Skills Required: BCom or Bachelor of Business Science degree. A Master's degree or professional qualification such as CA(SA), CMA or equivalent will be advantageous but is not essential. Minimum of 2 years' relevant accounting or financial reporting experience. Solid knowledge of GAAP or IFRS and general accounting principles. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modelling and pivot tables. Experience working with ERP or finance systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle or similar. Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders. Strong problem-solving ability and sound commercial judgement. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. High levels of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality. Collaborative team player with a positive approach.
