POSITION INFO:
Are you a qualified finance professional with both technical depth and professional authority? A prestigious legal and consulting group is seeking a Financial & Cost Accountant to join their high-performing finance team in Pretoria East. This role blends financial reporting, cost analysis, and compliance with the unique responsibility of certifying internal documents as a Commissioner of Oaths. This is an opportunity to join one of South Africa’s most respected professional services firms, where accuracy, compliance, and integrity are paramount.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Financial Accounting: Prepare financial statements, manage reconciliations, and ensure accurate reporting.
Cost Accounting: Analyse and monitor cost structures to support budgeting and business decisions.
Compliance & Certification: Act as a Commissioner of Oaths, certifying internal documents and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Audit & Governance: Support external and internal audit processes, maintaining strong controls and adherence to policies.
Business Partnering: Collaborate with operational and legal teams to provide financial insights and guidance.

Qualifications & Skills:

SAIPA, ACCA, or CA(SA): Must have completed professional boards
Minimum 3 years post-articles experience (audit/consulting/legal industry background is advantageous)
Proven financial and cost accounting expertise
Strong technical knowledge of compliance and governance requirements
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to act as a Commissioner of Oaths
