Duties & Responsibilities

Job Description:

Be responsible for all general work in the workshop and for the manufacture of spares that are not available.
Required to action machine breakdowns
Be responsible for all general maintenance around the factory
Ensure that all Planned Maintenance is carried out timeously as per the schedule and report any concerns to Management.
Train Apprentices, and/ or anyone else that may require training.
Be responsible for ensuring good housekeeping in and around the Maintenance workshop area, and anywhere else Maintenance work is performed.
Fabricate/repair all engineering where required.
Report on levels of non-stock items in the maintenance department to the relevant Manager, obtain quotes and follow correct procedure for the replenishment of such items.
Complete and record all work tasks done on issued job cards in the Maintenance Management system.
Ensure good care for hand tools and equipment necessary to perform various repair tasks.
Ensure the Heath and Safety programs are adhered too at all times.
