SUMMARY:
Our client in the steel industry is seeking a Fitter and Turner in Alberton, Gauteng. The successful candidate will hold a trade certificate in fitting and turning, as well as have experience in the steel industry.

POSITION INFO:
Job Title: Fitter and Turner (Steel Industry)
Geographical area: Alberton, Gauteng

The successful incumbent will be responsible for:

Perform mechanical tasks
Maintain plant machinery
Attending to breakdowns
Installation of pumps, gearboxes, valves, couplings, and machine drives
Fault finding on pneumatic and hydraulic circuits

Minimum qualifications and experience:

Matric
Trade Test Fitter and Turner
7-10 years’ experience in the steel industry relating to slitting, CTL, and Guillotine lines
