POSITION INFO:

Position: Fitter (Permanent)
Location: Benoni (Mining/Heavy Industrial Environment)
Work Schedule: Shifts
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Requirements:

Trade Certification (Red Seal) and Grade 12 qualification.
2–3 years’ experience as a Fitter in mining/plant maintenance.
Technical Skills:
- Conveyor belt systems, bolt bearings, crushers (cone/gyratory/jaw).
- Reading engineering drawings, welding, and fabrication.
Valid driver’s license and medical clearance.
Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Fit, assemble, erect, install, maintain, and repair plant equipment, including conveyor belts, bolt bearings, cone/gyratory/jaw crushers.
Perform routine/ preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance
Enforce safety protocols and maintain tools/equipment to standards
Supervise apprentices and ensure compliance with quality/ engineering standards
Conduct risk assessments, order parts, and complete administrative duties
