Responsibilities

• Driver and vehicle management
  • Monitor and track the location and status of all fleet vehicles and drivers using a fleet management system.
  • Dispatching
    • Dispatch drivers and vehicles for collections and deliveries, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Problem solving
    • Respond to and resolve issues on the road, such a breakdowns, delays, or accident, in real time.
    • Reporting
    • Prepare hourly reports on fleet performance.

Requirements

• Experience
  • Proven experience as a Fleet Controller or in a similar role within the logistics/transportation industry.
  • Skills
    • Excellent knowledge of fleet management systems and GPS tracking systems
    • Exception communication skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and make quick, informed decisions.
    • Good in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)

Qualifications

• Matric
• Relevant qualifications in logistics, transport, or supply chain management is an advantage.

Availability

• Must be willing to work flexible hours, day shift and night shift, including weekends and public holidays, as requested.
• Own transport
