Are you a skilled mechanical professional with strong leadership abilities and a passion for delivering world-class hospitality experiences? A renowned luxury safari lodge in Namibia is seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee and optimise its fleet operations. This permanent role offers the chance to combine your technical expertise with hands-on leadership in one of Africa’s most exclusive destinations.
As the Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for managing the lodge’s fleet of vehicles, quads, e-bikes, and generators. You’ll lead the workshop team, ensure high standards of safety and performance, and support seamless logistics for exceptional guest experiences.
Manage the fleet, workshop, budgets, and logistics to ensure safe and efficient operations and top-tier guest service at a luxury safari lodge. Manage vehicle and plant servicing, inspections, repairs, and workshop operations to minimize downtime. Lead and develop the workshop team, ensuring high standards of workmanship, safety, and accountability.
Requirements To Meet Prior To Applying:
- Formal mechanical qualification and completed mechanical trade test.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a mechanical workshop plus 3–5 years in a management role.
- Strong knowledge of fleet management, workshop operations, and preventative maintenance.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; experience with QuickBooks/Panstrat advantageous.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Previous experience in hospitality or remote environments advantageous.
- Valid, unendorsed driver’s license and valid passport.
- Namibian locals.
