JOB SUMMARY:
EE position for candidates with at least 1-year experience in fleet tracking and logistics. Matric, good computer skills and a valid drivers license are minimum requirements. The ability to cope with pressure and willingness to work day and night shifts are essential.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Requirements / Qualifications:

Matric.
Computer Literate – MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
One years’ or more experience in tracking and logistics.
Must be able to cope with pressure depending on operational requirements.
Applicants must be willing to work shifts. Day shift from 06h00 to 18h00 and night shift from 18h00 to 06h00 with a 3-day resting period in between. Candidate must be willing to work extended hours during the week depending on operational requirements.
Valid driver’s license.
Thoroughness, accuracy and attention to detail.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The OB (Occurrence Book) Report has to be completed during every shift.
Tracking of all company trucks at all times.
Monitoring of sleep intervals of all drivers on duty.
Monitoring of the driver fatigue management system. All trucks are fitted with an in-cab camera.
Directing drivers daily to the correct premises of clients for the deliveries.
Ensuring that maps are copied for drivers when they report to the office with the correct directions to the customer’s premises.
Monitoring of unauthorised stops – Drivers has to be contacted immediately when they make an unauthorised stop to establish for what reason.
Planning of deliveries for the following working day.
Ensuring that drivers are contacted via telephone and SMS to inform of them of deliveries for the following working day.
Providing FCL and LCL controllers with ETA’s for deliveries to clients.
In the case of a breakdown, all the relevant departments need to be contacted i.e.,maintenance and admin.
In the case of an accident Controllers need to ensure that all the relevant departments are contacted i.e., maintenance, admin, insurance, ambulance and HR.
Perform all other related duties as required
