Flutter Developer (Contract) - Durban or Remote - R55,000 - R60,000 CTC per month An opportunity for an experienced developer to join a project building and enhancing retail-focused applications . About Our Client Our client operates within the retail sector . They are focused on executing a technology project involving retail applications and point-of-sale systems . The Role: Flutter Developer This role exists to develop and enhance retail-focused applications and systems during a project . It contributes to the business by delivering reliable and scalable cross-platform applications and integrating them with existing databases and point-of-sale systems . The main focus areas include cross-platform development using Flutter and Dart, MS SQL integration, API management, and technical troubleshooting . Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain cross-platform applications using Flutter and Dart . Build and enhance user-friendly mobile and web interfaces within a retail environment . Integrate applications with databases, APIs, and Point-of-Sale (POS) systems using MS SQL . Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues to ensure applications are reliable, scalable, and fit for purpose . Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment . Deploy mobile applications and utilize cloud platforms, Firebase, or Node.js where advantageous . About You Proven commercial experience as a Flutter Developer with strong experience in Flutter and Dart . Experience developing and supporting production-level applications . Experience working with retail systems, POS environments, and strong MS SQL experience . Strong understanding of APIs, system integrations, and Git\/version control . Ability to work independently, take ownership of deliverables, and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills . Comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment as a plug-and-play developer getting up to speed quickly with minimal hand-holding . Advantageous: Experience with mobile application deployment, Firebase, Node.js or other backend technologies, cloud platforms, and retail technology or POS solutions .
