JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client based in the Winelands region has an exciting full-time position available for a dynamic individual, who will form part of their Restaurant team.

The responsibilities of the job incumbent include:

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Manage F&B day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards
Dealing with any issues that might come up during daily service operations
Adhere to all H&S regulations
Liaise with the Executive Chef & Events Coordinator in scheduling events
Maintain revenue and payroll budgets
Oversee staff to ensure a smooth operation
Monitor quality of service in the F&B department
Actively involved in hiring and performance management of F&B employees
Constantly monitor staff performance, reward or take disciplinary actions based on performance
Drive high levels of guest satisfaction
Liaise with kitchen to improve service and product efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS

Relevant tertiary qualification
Minimum of 5 years’ applicable experience in F&B related field and at the management level
Good interpersonal skills & telephone etiquette
Self-driven and dynamic
Must be able to handle work-related pressure
Computer literacy (good working knowledge of MS Word & Excel)
Knowledge of Jonas Point of Sale system (advantageous)
Detail orientated and systematic
Excellent communication (English and Afrikaans) and interpersonal skills
Neat and presentable appearance
Inspirational leadership ability
An innovative approach to driving the business forward
Business awareness, being able to drive and plan business improvement.

SALARY

R35 000 – R40 000
