Footwear Developer & Quality Controller
Location: Midrand
Salary: R35 000 CTC per month (13th Cheque & Company Provident Fund)

Introduction
We are seeking a skilled Footwear Developer & Quality Controller to manage the development and quality assurance of footwear products. The successful candidate will oversee product development from concept to production, ensure quality standards are maintained, and work closely with suppliers and internal teams to deliver products on time and to specification.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage footwear and accessory development from initial concept through to final production approval.
- Develop product concepts, technical briefs, specifications, colourways, materials, trims, and packaging requirements.
- Conduct trend research and identify opportunities for product improvements and innovation.
- Use design and AI visualisation tools to create product concepts, renders, and presentation materials.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout production stages, identifying and resolving product issues.
- Ensure products meet required standards for construction, materials, fit, branding, and packaging.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding samples, approvals, production timelines, and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate development records, quality reports, trackers, and product documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support smooth product delivery and process improvements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in footwear development, merchandising, and/or quality control.
- Strong knowledge of footwear construction, materials, manufacturing processes, and fit requirements.
- Experience managing products from concept through production.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
- Experience using AI image generation and editing tools for product visualisation.
- Strong organisational, communication, and supplier management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail.
