SUMMARY:
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Foreign Exchange (FX) Control & Cross-Border Payments Specialist to manage and oversee all activities related to FX operations, exchange control compliance, and balance of payments reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of the exchange control regulations, as well as operational expertise in cross-border payments, foreign currency transactions, and Balance of Payments (BoP) frameworks.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and process all cross-border payments in accordance with the exchange control regulations.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of Balance of Payments (BoP) reporting
Act as a subject matter expert on foreign exchange control policies, regulatory changes, and operational procedures.
Liaise with internal teams (Finance, Legal, Compliance, Treasury) to ensure adherence to local and international FX regulations.
Review and verify documentation for inward and outward foreign currency transfers.
Conduct periodic audits and reconciliations of FX transactions and cross-border settlements.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of exchange control circulars, rulings, and policy updates issued.
Support strategic initiatives including FX hedging, risk mitigation, and foreign currency funding activities.
Resolve queries from , regulators, and internal stakeholders regarding FX-related transactions and compliance.
Provide training and guidance on FX processes and regulatory obligations to relevant business units.

Requirements:

3-year Tertiary qualifications in IT/Mathematics/ Informatics
+5 Years experience in FOREX, regulatory and balance of payments
Strong FX markets skills - Cross border payments, Balance of payment exposure, must be very strong in Foreign Exchange control skills/knowledge.
