Foreman: Mobile Equipment (Mining) - Northern Cape

SUMMARY:
In working for this well established mining company it would be the responsibility of the Foreman: Mobile Equipment to organise and manage the control and maintenance of the surface mobile equipment within the plant.

POSITION INFO:

• Monitor all weekly and daily mobile maintenance activities in a safe and efficient manner by prioritizing resources,machinery and people

• Ensure maintenance work requirements are efficiency coordinated, schedule and execute to deliver maximum equipment availability to the production

• Ensure full statutory and safety compliance of all maintenance activities

• Identify resource and skill gaps for team members and develop strategies to close gaps

• Support the planning area in term of priority and evaluation of the requested resources

• Ensure that procedures are followed in accordance with the company’s health, safety and environment regulations;

• Ensure good relationship with mining operation

• Assist the maintenance managers with the preparation of the departmental budget and ensure that budget is respected;

• Assist to coordinate, implement, control and monitor change plans;

• Ensure data integrity and control;

• Identify improvement initiatives and team recognition;

• Ensure adherence to quality standards;

• Promote and ensure adherence to SHERQ procedures;

• Implement compliance requirements;

• Provide input into sub-functional planning;

• Mobilise resources in order to achieve targets;

• Conflict resolution;

• Implementation of operational plans;

• Engineering and maintenance duties;

• Ensure production efficiency;

• Effective maintenance control and supervision;

• Risk Assessment;

• Provide input in budget planning process and monitor expenses;
