Our client, a well-established fruit packing and cooling enterprise in Paarl, is providing an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to join their team.

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that all producer and agent files are up to date and that contracts are in place. Furthermore, the successful candidate will obtain harvest forecasts from producers, compile pro-forma invoices, and review packaging costs.

The successful candidate will report to the Financial Manager and will be responsible for the following:

• Maintaining and update producer, agent and exporter information and ensure contracts are in place with all parties
• Obtain harvest estimates from producers and provide information regarding previous years’ harvest
• Compile pro-forma invoices and reconcile all packaging costs
• Provide cultivar summaries to producers
• Compile summaries of bin hires, crates delivered, number of crates packed and packaging costs
• Provide overall administrative assistance to management
• Conduct basic bookkeeping functions
• Regular written and verbal communication with producers and agents

Requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualification will be beneficial
• Experience in the fruit packing industry and in-depth knowledge of the fruit packing life-cycle
• Experience in basic accounting
• Excellent computer skills

• Good language skills
