  JOB DESCRIPTION:
  

  The Role:

  We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer Cloud for a fixed term contract for Pretoria.

   

  Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Technical refinement of Unity functionality (Sagas, User stories)
  • Development of the Unity solution (focus on Quarkus Microservice development) Backend and Frontend (Javascript)
  • Development of IaaC Modules for the Unity solution (terraform, terragrunt)
  • Development of automated test (TDD approach) for the Unity solution
  • Development of the Unity Pipelines (GitHub Action)
  • Maintenance of the Unity solution
  • Support and error analysis during overall Company's test cycles and rollouts

   

  Qualifications and Experience needed for the role:

  • Masterâ??s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or similar qualification.
  • 8 yearsâ?? experience developing in Java
  • 5 yearsâ?? experience in frontend development
  • 3 yearsâ?? experience in Public Cloud (Azure, AWS)

   

  Advantageous Skills Requirements:

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure (e.g., Pipeline, AKS, AppInsight)
  • Experience with Streaming (e.g., Kafka)
  • Knowledge of developing Microservices
  • Agile experience (e.g., scrum)

   

  Essential Skills Requirements:

  • At least 7 yearsâ?? experience in Java Backend Development including the necessary solution stack (e.g. Maven) and version control system (Git)
  • Good experience with at least two Java Frameworks (e.g., Quarkus, Spring)
  • At least 5 years' worth of experience in front-end technologies
    • JavaScript / Angular - Typescript, HTML 5, CSS
    • Proficiency in UI frameworks e.g., Angular (Version 9 or higher) or React
  • Profound knowledge in working with container (e.g., Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools (such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions: GitLab, Terraform, Ansible (IaC)
