Senior Java Software Engineer (Cloud & DevOps)We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Software Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team responsible for building, deploying, and supporting scalable enterprise applications. Essential Skills Proven experience developing enterprise applications using Java, Java EE, Spring Boot, and Hibernate . Strong understanding of SDLC , Agile methodologies , and RESTful API development . Experience with MySQL , PostgreSQL , and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra . Hands-on experience with Docker , Kubernetes , and Git . Knowledge of DevOps practices , CI\/CD pipelines , Infrastructure as Code (IaC) , and GitOps . Experience working with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based application deployments. Experience with automated testing tools such as JUnit , Selenium , and TestNG . Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools including Prometheus , Grafana , and the ELK Stack . Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash . Knowledge of messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ or Kafka . Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and production support experience. Experience mentoring developers and working within cross-functional Agile teams. Exposure to Angular , React , or other modern front-end frameworks is advantageous. Relevant IT qualification and\/or cloud, Java, or DevOps certifications preferred. Role & Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features. Develop scalable and high-performing RESTful APIs and backend services. Ensure application performance, quality, security, and responsiveness. Write and maintain unit, integration, and automated tests. Participate in peer code reviews and promote engineering best practices. Design, implement, and support CI\/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery. Work closely with DevOps and cloud teams to deploy and manage applications in Microsoft Azure. Troubleshoot software defects, production incidents, and performance bottlenecks. Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventative solutions. Monitor application health, availability, and reliability. Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures. Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives. Support Agile delivery teams and participate in Agile ceremonies. Drive continuous improvement of development processes, tooling, and platform capabilities.
