SUMMARY:
A fast-scaling South African technology business operating within the digital estates and financial services space is seeking an Intermediate Full Stack Software Developer to join its remote engineering team.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Develop and enhance features within a microservices-based architecture
Design, build, and maintain secure integrations with third-party and enterprise APIs
Contribute to architectural discussions and continuous improvement initiatives
Support containerised deployments using Docker and CI/CD pipelines
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
Participate in peer code reviews and uphold development standards

Minimum Requirements

5+ years’ experience in full stack software development
Strong hands-on experience with PHP 8.x and Laravel
Solid database knowledge (PostgreSQL or MySQL), including schema design and optimisation
Experience with Vue.js or React
Proven ability to build and consume RESTful APIs
Comfortable working with Git (branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews)
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Familiarity with Pest or PHPUnit and a strong testing mindset
Ability to take ownership of features end-to-end with minimal supervision
Strong communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented approach
