Performance Meets Public Curiosity
Do you thrive on confusing strangers in the best possible way?
Are you equal parts performance artist, street philosopher, and lovable oddball?
Good because were hiring a full-time costumed legend to take to the streets and become a living symbol of delightful absurdity.
This is not your average gig. You wont be dancing at sports games or hyping up crowds. Youll be living in character, five days a week, eight hours a day a walking contradiction with a mission to entertain, confuse, and captivate.
What Youll Be Doing:
- Wander promenades, malls, sidewalks, and beaches in full character
- Spark curiosity without saying a word
- Take part in peaceful and humorous public demonstrations (props provided)
- Hand out mysterious flyers and even more mysterious vibes
- Appear in viral social content, guerrilla-style campaigns, and public stunts
- Pose for photos, accept awkward hugs, and inspire speculation
- Travel to random locations as directed (sometimes via Uber... still in costume)
This is performance as lifestyle. Think street theatre meets social experiment with a dash of internet fame.
You Should Apply If You:
- Are based in Cape Town
- Have a background in drama, clowning, performance art, or public shenanigans
- Are physically able to wear a full-body costume for long hours (yes, it gets warm you''ll be a trooper)
- Are delightfully strange, ridiculously reliable, and unbothered by public stares
- Have a flair for silent comedy, mime, or pantomime
- Have access to transport (driving in costume = bonus points)
- Are the type of person people film without knowing why
Perks:
- Competitive salary
- No two days are ever the same
- Free range to embrace your inner eccentric
- Work by the beach, in cafes, or in line at the grocery store in full character
- Chance to become a local icon or meme (in the best way)
This isnt a job. Its an alter ego. Are you bold enough to live the character?
