SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced and creative Functions & Events Coordinator to join our team at a luxury boutique hotel in Constantia. This role requires a detail-oriented, service-driven individual who can plan, coordinate, and execute flawless functions, weddings, and private events, while ensuring each guest enjoys an exceptional experience.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the planning and coordination of weddings, corporate events, private functions, and special occasions.
Liaise with clients from enquiry stage through to post-event follow-up, ensuring all requirements are met.
Work closely with the F&B and operations team to deliver seamless service.
Prepare event proposals, budgets, contracts, and schedules.
Ensure setup, décor, and service meet the property’s luxury standards.
Develop and maintain strong client and supplier relationships.
Oversee staffing, logistics, and on-the-day event management.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements

Previous experience as an Events or Functions Coordinator in a 4- or 5-star hospitality environment (essential).
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong interpersonal and client relationship abilities.
Ability to multitask and thrive under pressure.
Attention to detail with a flair for creativity.
Knowledge of event systems, F&B service, and budgeting.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
