JOB SUMMARY:
An established, private neurosurgery & spine surgery practice in Bloemfontein has an opportunity for a General Practitioner.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful applicant will be responsible to assist with the following

Ward rounds on week days & alternate weekends as per arrangement.
Theater equipment set up, patient positioning, assisting with major cases, performing minor cases as taught
Outpatient clinic - patient selection and appropriate referrals
Review of transcribed and typed letters
Arrange investigations or referrals, operations and follow ups
Practice administration & IT support to office staff

SKILLS

Strong attention to detail in the practice environment
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and third party funders
The ability to multitask
Strong commitment to actively supporting an ethical open working environment
Comfortable in paperless, computer environment

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience

COMPLIANCE, SECURITY REGULATIONS

Act independently with confidentiality and within restraint of trade obligations
