GIS Analyst

SUMMARY:
Our client has an EE opportunity available for a GIS Analyst based in the Tshwane area. This will be fixed term contract for 12 months.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• Post graduate degree or equivalent qualification (Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Natural Sciences and/or Information Technology)
• 7 Years appropriate experience in application development on the ESRI platform.
• Familiarity with ESRI Desktop, Server, Web and Mobile Technologies (ArcGIS Server, SDE, Web Services, ArcGIS Online and Survey 123 and Workforce.
• Experience in disaster management and risk analysis is an advantage

Key Performance Areas:

• Develop and rollout disaster management Geographic Information Systems for the NDMC with regard to the COVID-19 national response effort.
• Monitor and evaluate compliance to national monitoring systems
• Maintain appropriate spatial disaster information service.
• Manage, gather, collate and spatially enable information on all aspects related to disaster management, early warning systems and risk profiles.
• Administration and Project Management of the GIS function for the NDMC DOC.
