POSITION INFO:

This individual should possess strong leadership skills, business acumen, and the ability to foster a culture of excellence, diversity, and inclusion. With experience in eco-tourism, lodge management, and community engagement, they will drive operational success while ensuring the lodge remains a benchmark for responsible and luxurious travel.

Candidate requirements:

• Formal Hospitality related qualification
• Min of 5-10 years in a leadership role within a Luxury organization
• The ability to oversee all aspects of the lodge’s opening and operational setup. (Previous experience in openings would be beneficial)
• The ability to create and implement personalized, high-end guest services.
• Strong leadership abilities and the ability to build, train, and inspire a high-performing team.
• Strategic thinking with the knowledge to develop and execute strategies to ensure operational excellence.
• Excellent financial acumen in managing budgets, financial planning, and cost efficiencies
• Experience in developing and executing strategies to drive revenue and brand awareness.
• Excellent health and safety knowledge and the ability to ensure adherence to legal, safety, and industry regulations.
• Experience in integrating eco-tourism and conservation practices into operations.
• Fostering strong relationships with local stakeholders and supporting socio-economic initiatives.
• The ability to oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and effective management.
• Be an advocate for sustainable luxury travel and conservation efforts.
• Curate unique events and experiences aligned with the lodge’s identity.
• Create a motivated and collaborative workplace culture.
• Drive creativity in guest experiences and operational practices.
• Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and resolve issues effectively.
• Develop pricing and promotional strategies to maximize profitability.
