We are looking for a GRC Specialist - registered Compliance Officer in the Insurance sector, Johannesburg

POSITION INFO:
Job Summary:
The GRC Specialist will provide expert compliance advice, risk management, and governance across all levels of the organization. The specialist will maintain and develop the Governance, Risk & Control framework, keeping in line with relevant domestic and international legislation, risk methodologies, and frameworks.

Essential Qualifications:

• Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees in Business Commerce/Legal/Risk Management or Governance
• RE5 and RE1.
• Postgraduate Qualification related to Governance, Risk and/or Compliance.
• Clear criminal record.
• Meets FAIS Fit and Proper requirements.

• Registered Compliance Officer
• Certified Risk Management Practitioner (CRM Prac), Fellowship or Associate Charted Governance (FCG/ ACG) or Certified Compliance Practitioner/Professional (CPrac/CProf).
• 3- 5 years or more senior experience within Governance, Risk and Compliance.
• Active membership status with Compliance Institute SA, Institute of Risk Management SA or Charted Governance Institute of SA.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, compliance, and governance requirements.
• High computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft applications.
• Report writing and presentation skills.
• Excellent negotiation, problem solving, and analytical skills.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to understand broader business issues.
• Strong research skills, exceptional investigative and probing skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Development of governance and strategic documentation.
• Interpretation of legislation.
• Communication of complex or specialist information to a non-specialist audience.
