JOB SUMMARY:
Our clients 4 star exclusive Guest House has an exciting opportunity available for a Guest House Manager to be based in Umhlanga. This is currently a 6 month contract, live in position.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The incumbent will be responsible for supervising and managing the daily activities of the guesthouse and to ensure that each department runs efficiently and to ensure the entire property is well maintained.

Minimum Requirements:

Matric
Hospitality Management qualification
5 Years Hospitality Management Experience
3 Years Customer Service Experience

Responsibilities:

Supervision and assistance with the serving and preparation of breakfast
Supervision and assistance at the reception area with bookings, attending to calls and queries
Ensure debtors are paid and updated
Responsible for overall maintenance of guesthouse and ensuring issues are resolved timeously
Ensure the guest house website is updated with the most recent information and pictures
Responsible for overseeing the housekeeping function – inspection of rooms, laundry, linen, amenities
Ensure each guest receives a welcome letter and treat on arrival
Ordering of supplies and groceries within allocated budget
Responsible for stock take on Bar Stock and balancing with the sales for the week
Responsible for guest check in and advising on places of interest, leisure etc.
Attend to guest queries and issues
Responsible for being on standby 24/7
