About the Role:  As the Game Lodge General Manager for Ditholo Game Lodge, you will oversee the daily operations, create a seamless and exceptional guest experience whilst managing a team dedicated to hospitality in a bushveld environment.  This role focuses on strategic planning, operational excellence, and leading a passionate team within a unique and vibrant environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all aspects of lodge operations, including guest services, food and beverage, housekeeping, and maintenance. Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve key performance metrics, including occupancy rates and guest satisfaction scores. Cultivate positive relationships with guests and achieve high-quality service delivery throughout their stay. Manage budgeting and financial reporting to maintain the lodge's profitability while adhering to operational standards. Recruit, train, and mentor lodge staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and professional development. Collaborate with local suppliers and partners to enhance lodge offerings and support the community. Achieve and maintain compliance with regards to any health, safety, and environmental regulations. Requirements: Proven track record in hospitality management, preferably in a luxury or eco-tourism environment. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and staff. Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Knowledge of wildlife conservation practices and a genuine passion for sustainable tourism. Problem-solving orientation and adaptability in a dynamic operational environment Preferred Qualifications and experience: Grade 12 or equivalent qualification A degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field will be an advantage. Certification in Wildlife Management or Conservation would also be an advantage. Experience within the hospitality and tourism sector. Familiarity with South African tourism regulations and industry standards.
