Our client in the Public Sector has an EE opportunity available for a General Education Training and Development Practitioner, in the Maritime Chamber, located in the Cape Town area. Disabled candidates are encouraged to apply.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• M + 3 qualification in ETD/HRM/HRD or relevant qualification
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the education, training and development sector
• Experience in SETA or Transport Sector environment will be an added advantage
• Experience in management of WSP and ATR
• Experience in low skill levy paying industry or the transport industry
• Valid driver''s license
• Own transport/vehicle is essential
• Be prepared to work overtime
• Knowledge of the PSET environment
• Knowledge and understanding of contract and project management
• The following legislations - Skills Development Act, Skills Development Levies Act, National Skills Development Plan, Public Finance Management Act, Quality Council for Trades and Occupations Act, Protection of Personal Information Act and South African Qualification Authority
• Computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Power Point

• Support internal and external stakeholders to enhance ETD participation and efficiency in the sector
• Build partnerships and relationships with authorities in the PSET sector and the subsector
• Increase mandatory grant and discretionary grant participation within the transport sector and address all related queries
• Establish provincial linkages and participation (e.g. Development Forums, HET Advisory Council meetings etc.)
• Finance administration
• Annual performance plan support
• Coordinate administration of projects by initiating ETD projects within the sector and the relevant province
• Implement mandatory grant processes that include promoting and assessing WSP/ATR
• Develop and maintain stakeholder database
• Prepare quality assured reports supported by verifiable evidence within set deadlines
• Conduct site visits to verify stakeholder participation and data
• Effectively manage day to day operations
