POSITION INFO:
A globally established organization operating within the geoâservices and engineering environment is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join its finance team. Based in Cape Town CBD, this role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who brings strong technical expertise and a structured approach to financial reporting and compliance.

You’ll be working in an environment that values accuracy, consistency, and adherence to bestâpractice financial standards, with exposure to international reporting frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and provisions
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Assist with monthâend and yearâend closing processes
Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal financial policies
Prepare and support financial reporting and analysis
Work closely with internal stakeholders across finance and operations
Support audit processes and provide required documentation

Job Experience and Skills Required:

BCom Degree with completed SAICA articles
Open to NonâCA(SA) candidates
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a General Ledger or similar role
Strong technical accounting skills (IFRS)
Experience working on IFS ERP system (advantageous)
Industry exposure open, with geoâservices / engineering environments preferred
Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines
Structured, organised, and able to work independently
