JOB SUMMARY:
Our client who provides oilfield technologies and equipment requires a General Ledger Accountant for their office in Cape Town

JOB DESCRIPTION:

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors or higher degree in Accounting or Finance.
Advantageous, but not essential: Professional Accountant (SA), AGA (SA)

EXPERIENCE: 2-3 years maximum general accounting experience in commerce and completed SAIPA/SAICA Articles/formal
accounting training, knowledge of IFRS.
Advantageous: Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX reporting.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
· Strong understanding of accounting theory
· Highly detail orientated and organized in work
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Disciplined, action orientated and practical
· Ability to meet assigned deadlines
· Good communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
· Proficiency with email and Microsoft applications
· ERP system experience
· Adaptability and Flexibility
· Must be a team player
· Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management.
· Fluent in English, French would be advantageous
