General Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a hands-on executive with a growth-oriented mindset to drive a business that drives shareholder value for a leading commercial and digital manufacturing company with a national footprint.

POSITION INFO:

Essential Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical/Marketing/Sales/Financial
• Appropriate experience for at least 3 years managing a business with full responsibility for all functions of the business within either of the following sectors
  • FMCG/Food/Beverages/Retail
  • Advertising/Agency
  • Packaging
• Understanding of financial and operational management within a manufacturing/digital environment
• Proven experience in the management of Working capital, Human Capital, Marketing, Products and Product Development and identifying opportunities for business growth
• Must be a hands-on person that is actively involved in the business and doesn''t sit in his ivory tower.
• Must be business savvy and understand the current business landscape
• Ability to develop a vision and a proven track record of translating concepts into practice, and research into action

Key Result Areas:

• Responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of strategic plans to meet the Group objectives
• Full responsibility for the operations and all aspects of the business, including sales and marketing, finance, operations (supply chain, manufacturing, etc) and human resources.
• Responsibility will include developing appropriate short, medium and long-term strategies to not only protect market share but to grow the business through the development of new products, markets.
• Develops, controls and monitors budgets. Manage and direct the region to achieve primary objectives of EBIT, EBITDA, working capital, sales revenue and growth, management of costs and margin control.
• Monitor and improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies and understand ROI in marketing programs and new projects
• Increasing profitability through leading, directing, motivating and developing staff ensuring the right level of service and support
• Monitoring of respective departments to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide quality services whilst remaining within budgetary limits.
• Drive continuous improvement through the entire operation.
• Builds company image by collaborating with customers and employees, enforcing ethical business practices.
