Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Management and Planning
  • Management of the Laboratory and the Quality Management System
  • Management of Production Department (standardised reagents)
  • Marketing, Sales and Public Relations
  • Liaison with clients
  • Leadership and Human Resources Management
  • Financial and Administrative Management

Requirements for the ideal candidate:

  • Applicable BSc (Hons) degree in Micro-Biology / Chemistry / Biotechnology
  • At least 10 years Laboratory and Quality Assurance experience
  • Proven experience in a managerial position / leadership role
  • Experience in the wine or food & beverages industry (beneficial)
  • Well-developed business acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Proven experience in financial management
  • Sound marketing, sales and negotiation skills
  • Well-developed decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Dynamic, self-driven and results-oriented

A market-related remuneration package will be negotiated based on qualifications, skills and experience.
