POSITION INFO:

Position Objective:

Effectively lead the full Beneficiation process to ensure production efficiency, labour stability, cost controls and maximise return on investment in a safe and responsible manner. 

Work Criteria:

• The General Manager is a legal appointment 3.1(a)
• Key to this position is for the incumbent to fulfil the legal requirements as described in the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Minerals Act.
• The incumbent has a significant responsibility to ensure the Company (Specific Beneficiation Area) meets its social responsibility regarding the Mining Charter, Social Labour Plan, Employment Equity and Black Economic Empowerment.  
• The Incumbent is the custodian of all systems and procedures within the specific area of control.
• The Incumbent is responsible to implements and supports the Vision and Values of the Company as well as all corporate office strategies for the full Beneficiation process.
• The Incumbent is responsible to build a motivated and unified performance driven team by effectively coordinating efforts in all disciplines to provide support and ensure the Company achieves the required goals through participative management and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualification in Extraction Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering
• MBA will be an advantage

Minimum requirements and skills:

• 7 to 10 years experience
• Valid drivers license
• Computer Literate
