General Manager - (Executive level)

SUMMARY:
Our client with branches in several centres in South Africa is looking for an experienced individual to assume the full responsibility for all the branch operations.

POSITION INFO:

Duties:

Managing & developing the South African regions in terms of branch operations (service delivery), sales, systems, strategy, policy making & profitability

• Ensuring optimum delivery of at every branch

• Manage Operational Costs versus Budget

• Overseeing budgets and forecasts and managing cost to deliver set margins

• Optimise Android Usage across all branches

• Staying fully aware of all branch activities and ensure actions plans are devised and implemented to resolve any problems

• Communicate operational issues and solutions pro-actively to all branches

• Effectively manage the Customer Service Contact

• Ensuring that the regions are managed and maintained according to the Company’s expectations

• Ensuring that good customer relations, high operating standards and service levels are maintained.

• Carry out all duties in accordance with SOP’s

• Ensure full support to the SHEQ department by maintaining Quality Operating Procedure compliance and coordinating Branch Audits together with the SHEQ Department.

• Mentoring of branch managers

Requirements: 

•       Tertiary Qualification – an MBA would be an advantage

•       Fluent in English

•       Generalist Operational Management Skills of minimum 10 years’ experience in an operation with at least 10 branches nationally

•       At least 3 years’ experience serving on an Executive Committee

•       Proven ability to understand and interpret financial information

•       Expert user in MS Excel

•       The ability to professionally manage, motivate & display individual leadership qualities

•       Ability to travel and work extended hours (including weekends).
