As part of a high-voltage JSE listed conglomerate, with operations across borders, we need a finance pro who can illuminate the path forward with strategic insight, analytical brilliance, and a spark of originality.

You’ll be leading the full financial function with a firm grip on inventory accounting and forex across multi-entity operations. Your industry know-how in retail or wholesale is non-negotiable - We need someone who’s been wired into this space before.

âï¸ What You’ll Be Powering Up:
- Ensure the financial well-being of the division by providing full spectrum financial services
- Review and interpret monthly management accounts, recommending action where needed
- Analyze operations to identify opportunities for improvement, cost savings, and enhancements
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives and support strategic analysis and planning
- Establish financial and operational strategies
- Review and sign off on journals
- Oversee working capital
- Assess and implement strong internal control systems
- Manage stock control, inventory levels, and procurement processes
- Prepare inter-divisional and inter-branch reconciliations
- Oversee general ledger reconciliations (head office and operational levels)
- Manage banking profiles and treasury functions
- Administer and manage Foreign Exchange Contracts (FECs) to ensure adequate cover
- Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure value for the business
- Ensure KPIs are defined, monitored, and targets are met across supply chain
- Prepare annual reporting packs
- Manage customer and supplier masterdata
- Compile and consolidate annual budget templates
- Review payroll and statutory payments
- Support project analysis and validate financial plans
ð Requirements:- Qualified CA(SA) – this is non-negotiable
- Minimum 5 years post-articles experience in a Finance Management or similar leadership role
- Deep knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Proven understanding of cost control, financial analysis, and core accounting principles
- Demonstrated success in implementing internal controls, governance policies, and operational efficiencies
- Solid experience managing statutory compliance, including VAT, imports / exports, and FECs
- Strong command of ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Exposure to a project environment will be advantageous
