SUMMARY:
Our client, a trusted mining services partner, requires a qualified GM : Mineral Processing with 10 - 15 years exp BSc(Eng./Metallurgy) or B.Eng. degree, Management/Business related qualification, MBA will be advantageous SA based, black-owned group spans globally, across Africa and South America

POSITION INFO:

DIVISION FAMP JOB GRADE E4 (E Upper)

Knowledge of the Mineral Processing · Understand commercial contracts/terminologies/coal processing · Understand the clients of Mineral Processing · Knowledge on business development processes and methodologies (market intelligence) · Knowledge of plant maintenance standards · Knowledge and exposure to PMS

Management. Determine, in conjunction with the Executive Head and other MANCO members, the strategic vision, objectives, and operating criteria for the immediate, medium and long term for operations. Grow the business in line with the strategic business plans. Compile, review and approve the operations budget. · Control, evaluate and report on the performance of his/her area of responsibility against established objectives, budgets and strategic plans. Implement savings programs to optimise approved budgets. Contract Management · Manage contracts to ensure business targets are met (production, cost, quality, SHEQ, availability, utilisation) · Convey FAMP decisions taken at EXCO meetings to sites via Business Unit Managers. · Ensure optimal operating costs of Mineral Processing plants. Customer Relations Management. SHEQ Management · Manage the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ). Compile reports for the EXCO. Establish and maintain business networks · Explore opportunities for new business. · Assist with preparation and submission of tender documents and proposals. Managing the Team .Ensure new projects ramp up according to plan to meet required targets. Innovation
