General Manager (Must have Manufacturing experience)

SUMMARY:
Senior management position where the complete senior management team will report directly to the GM. Full divisional function within the Group: Lean Manufacturing implementation and the management thereof. Defining long-term strategic goals and developing clear plans to implement them.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities:

• Defining long-term strategic goals and developing clear plans to implement them.
• Improving internal processes and ensuring employees work as a cohesive unit. Anticipate client needs and develop solutions to meet those needs.
• Result driven
• Leadership skills and ability to manage staff
• Strong decision-making and problem solving skills
• Implementation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for plant management
• Adherence to Group Policies and Procedures
• The ability to look for continuous improvement within the manufacturing processes & to adhere to the Group standards.
• Ability to enforce and maintain high standards, even under pressure.
• The implementation of SAP in the near future
• Supporting key account manager in retention of existing clients.
• Responsible for the targets set for the Plant & to make sure they are met
• Prepare annual budget
• Responsible for profitability for plant & Manage budgets
• Accountable for all labour matters 

Education

• MBA degree or equivalent - essential
• Maintenance experience
• Marketing experience 

Requirements

• Involvement on Group level
• Minimum of 7-years relevant Manufacturing industry experience
• Minimum of 5-years Senior Management experience
• Computer literate essential: ERP systems experience
• Excellent communication skills of the English language. Fluent in Afrikaans due to client base. Ability to communicate in German will be advantageous.
