General Manager, Operations: Solutions

POSITION INFO:

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE :

The role is responsible to ensure:

• Operations are managed in accordance with the company standards and policies and procedures and also have to ensure that the company strategy, goals and initiatives are cascaded down through the organization into the various operations.
• Ensure efficiency and contract adherence in terms of client relations, operational performance, commercial and financial performance, people management and development and continual improvement initiatives.
• Regional Profitability & Business Growth
• Credibility and trust relationship developed with client/s resulting in satisfied client/s that renew with the company;
• Take ownership & manage a multiclient warehousing operation, in line with company policies & strategies
• Implement, maintain & improve best industry warehousing practices
• Identify, drive and implement improvements in support of productivity & cost savings.
• Alignment between the company & its customers wrt strategy, goals and initiatives, includingalignment of business requirements, between customer & the company, ensuring capacities & availabity is always prioritied

BASIC MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:

• Matric or equivalent

TERTIARY QUALIFICATION: 

• 4-year Logistics or Supply Chain Management degree, or 4-year equivalent diploma (BTECH) OR,
• 4-year Industrial Engineering, or 4-year equivalent diploma (BTECH) OR,
• BCom Logistics or 4-year equivalent diploma (BTECH) OR,
• 5-10 years minimum relevant experience in industry with in-depth experience in all job-related requirements listed below
