General Manager - Software Development

SUMMARY:
Are you an experienced and passionate General Manager- Software Development wanting to take on an exciting new challenge in a JSE-listed digital company?

POSITION INFO:
As the General Manager- Software Development, your primary purpose will be to lead the development function within the organization, managing a delivery team responsible for an array of technologies, drive and lead the improvement of processes, work on high-level technical designs of solutions and be a leader in lean/agile development within the organization.
 
Ideal candidates will have:

• BSc in Computer Science or Software Development
• 10+ years of experience in technology development
• 5+ years in a software delivery management role
• Solid understanding and experience of software product development life cycles
• Ability to manage and deliver multiple projects

• Strategic planning and execution of long-term goals, policies, and procedures for the organizations'' software development and software quality
• Support and guidance in the adoption of DevOps practices within the development team
• Development and project delivery
• Exceptional leadership, self-management, and communication skills
