SUMMARY:
Are you an experienced and passionate General Manager- Software Development wanting to take on an exciting new challenge in a JSE-listed digital company?

POSITION INFO:
As the General Manager- Software Development, your primary purpose will be to lead the development function within the organization, managing a delivery team responsible for an array of technologies, drive and lead the improvement of processes, work on high-level technical designs of solutions and be a leader in lean/agile development within the organization.

Ideal candidates will have:

BSc in Computer Science or Software Development
10+ years of experience in technology development
5+ years in a software delivery management role
Solid understanding and experience of software product development life cycles
Ability to manage and deliver multiple projects

Key Responsibilities include:

Strategic planning and execution of long-term goals, policies, and procedures for the organizations'' software development and software quality
Support and guidance in the adoption of DevOps practices within the development team
Development and project delivery
Exceptional leadership, self-management, and communication skills
