SUMMARY:
Our client in the mining industry, has an opportunity available for a General Manager: Technical Services to be based in the Burgersfort, Limpopo area.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

B degree/B Tech in Mining Engineering / Geology or Rock Engineering is essential
Minimum of 5 year’s working experience as an appointed Technical Services Manager is essential
Minimum of 12 years mining / technical services related working experience, preferably in a conventional narrow tabular mining environment
Professional registration with relevant mining associations
Other relevant Certificate of Competency for Technical Services or Mine Manager ’s Certificate of Competency
Job related knowledge and exposure to the following fields:

Stoping, Development, Shafts, Mine Planning, Survey, Ventilation, Rock Engineering, Geology

KPAs:

Champion safety as the foremost priority at the operation
Develop and implement the strategic plan for the mine and directly assist the Operations Executive in the strategic management process
Management of the geotechnical, VOHE and survey functions for the mine
Oversee underground mine excavation design and monitoring
Ensuring effective cross functional coordination between geology, mine planning, survey and VOHE for the provision of efficient and effective technical services.
