General Manager: Workout & Restructuring – Portfolio Management

SUMMARY:
Our prestigious client in Financial Public Sector has an EE opportunity available for a General Manager: Workout and Restructuring - Portfolio Management, based in the Centurion area.

POSITION INFO:
Education and Experience Requirements:

• Post Graduate Degree in Finance / Business / Accounting
• 8-10 years experience in the management of workout and restructuring unit at a Senior Management level in within a general or retail banking or financial services environment
• 8-10 years in-depth knowledge and experience in credit value chain / credit risk management / account management / collections / turnarounds / restructuring and workouts
• 8-10 years in-depth knowledge and experience in the provision of direct inputs and innovative solutions to Board Sub-Committees and Credit Committees
• Knowledge of Agricultural Industry
• Required to travel extensively

• Develop the strategy of Workout and Restructuring aligned to the Portfolio Management Services Strategy and overall Bank Strategy as well as the business requirements
• Design and implement the Restructuring Process, which includes managing the restructuring application across the relevant Credit Committees and Board Sub Committees to obtain approval
• Develop, update, communicate and facilitate the implementation of workout and recoveries management policies
• Provide feedback to Commercial/Development/Corporate and Credit on business lessons learnt from recoveries and risk perspective
• Regular reporting to management on the functions performance in accordance with policies procedures and legal requirements
• Manage Stakeholder Relationships
• Departmental and People Management
• Develop and manage budget
• Manage expenditure and ensure no fruitless expenditure
