JOB SUMMARY:

Our client in the automotive sector, based in Coega, seeks to employ a General Plant Assistant.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:

Adhere to strict occupational health and safety guidelines.
Follow instructions and perform other duties as required.
Assist in administrative tasks when not driving.
Perform occasional handyman jobs.
Liaise with internal and external customers, suppliers and drivers.
Ensure timely dispatch and receiving of goods and parcels.
Ensure Maintenance, services and license are up to date for company vehicle.
Pick up and carry messages, packages and other items to specific locations.
Report daily on daily trips.
Transport visitors to and from airport and assist with providing them with general necessities on visit.
Transportation of staff to and from IOD Centre.
Assist management with purchasing of maintenance tools and equipment to ensure successful running of all aspects of the Plant.
Take access card applications to Management Office site for new employees to ensure access to Plant.
Take all forms of Documentation to Post Office when needed.
Assist within all departments namely Administration, Body Shop, Paint shop, Assembly and Warehouse.
Notify superior of any out-of-standard and non-compliance identified within the plant.
Ensure the correct use and storage of all tools and equipment.

Requirements:

Grade12/National Senior Certificate
Valid Code 10 Driver's Licence
Minimum 2 years’ Experience within a workshop environment
